If Christmas was just too sugary sweet for you and you need a bit of practical effect heavy, grotesque comedy, then you are in for a special treat! Lightbulb Film Distribution have today announced that Street Trash, directed by Ryan Kruger, will be released in UK cinemas from January 10.
The feature is a re-imagining of the 1987 cult horror-comedy of the same name. Kruger previously directed the fantastic Fried Barry.
In Street Trash we meet a group of misfits who must fight for survival when they discover a plot to exterminate every homeless person in the city.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Street Trash to audiences in the UK & Ireland. Kruger’s new film is just as gloopy and depraved as the original, and the social commentary is arguably even more relevant today,” commented LFD Sales & Acquisitions Director, Peter Thompson.
